O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Padmanabapuram, to dispose the case in C.C.No.376 of 2004, within a time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on instructions, would submit that in this case, on the side of prosecution, examination of witnesses are over, except the investigating officer, who was expired during the trial.

4. In view of the above fact, the respondent police is directed to co-operate with the Trial Court for the speedy disposal of the case and the learned Judicial Magistrate, Padmanabapuram, is directed to dispose of the case in C.C.No.376 of 2004, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, purely on merits and in accordance with law.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
