This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to provide police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and her family members on the basis of her complaint dated 24.12.2016 and 19.01.2017.
2. Today, Ms.P.Latha, Sub-Inspector of Police, Pappanadu Police Station, Thanjavur, is present before this Court. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondents 1and 2.
4. From the records it appears that there was a dispute between the petitioner and the fourth respondent with regard to the property in question. While so, the petitioner had given a complaint to the second respondent police, based on which the petition enquiry was conducted and the same was closed, advising both the parties to approach the Civil Court for redressal. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
5. In view of the above this petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. Of course, if any cognizable offence like assault is committed on the petitioner, it is always open to the petitioner to approach the police for appropriate action.
