O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srivilliputhur, Virudhunagar District to complete the trial in C.C.No.944 of 2015.

2. Mr.Velmurugan, Special Sub-Inspector of Police, E.O.W., Virudhunagar District is present. On instructions, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the trial in C.C.No.944 of 2015 has begun before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srivilliputhur on 24.04.2017 with the examination of P.W.1, but the accused did not choose to cross examine P.W.1.

3. Under such circumstances, this Court cannot issue a direction to the Trial Court to complete the trial in a time bound manner. The Trial Court is directed to expeditiously complete the trial in C.C.No.944 of 2015, provided the accused co-operate with the Court by cross examining all the witnesses on the date of their examination in chief.

4. With the above direction, this petition is disposed of.
