PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, 2023, to direct the 1st Respondent to instruct the 2nd Respondent to provide necessary and adequate police protection to the petitioner his family members and his property situated at Survey No.400/20. Ilathur Village, Shencottai Taluk, Tenkasi District from the threats and illegal acts of the third respondent and his associates.

ORDER

The present petition has been filed seeking a direction as against the second respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members and also for his property due to the threat of the third respondent.

2. The petitioner has given a complaint on 02.07.2025 to the second respondent police alleging that the third respondent and his men are threatening him and he has tresspassed into the property and has plucked the coconut.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first and the second respondents submit that they will conduct an enquiry and complete the same within a period of two weeks.

4. Recording the same, there will be a direction to the second respondent police to conduct an enquiry on the basis of the complaint lodged by the petitioner on 02.07.2025 and complete the same within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

5.With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
