PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to return the Gift deed dated 23.01.2020 executed by the petitioner in favour of the Government for the formation of Road, which is relating to Lay out in Ayan Punja land in Survey No.12/2 admeasuring 1.64.0 Hec, Survey No.13/2 admeasuring 3.87.5 Hec and Survey No.12/1 admeasuring 0.07.5 Hec situated at Deivacheyalpuram Village, Palayamkottai Sub registration limit, Palayamkottai Registration District, Srivaikuntam Taluk, Tuticorin District based on the petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2020. ORDER

This writ petition is filed to respondent to return the Gift deed dated 23.01.2020 executed by the petitioner in favour of the Government for the formation of road.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it is suffice, if a direction is issued to the respondent to dispose of the representation dated 11.05.2020. 3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2020 would be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.In the light of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.05.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
