ORDER
By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
2. The present writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to give compassionate ground appointment order to the petitioner due to the death of her father late.K.Singaravelu (Conductor) by considering her representation dated 10.08.2021.
3. The brief facts which are necessary for the disposal of this Writ Petition is as follows:- The petitioner's father was serving as a Conductor in the respondent Corporation. While in service, he passed away on 10.11.2010. The petitioner's father late.K.Singaravelu was survived by his wife, the petitioner and her sister. 2/5
The petitioner's mother made an application seeking appointment on compassionate ground to her on 09.11.2011. However, the same was not considered. Hence, the petitioner on attaining majority, with no objection certificate from the other surviving legal heirs had made an application on 01.12.2019, seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. The same was considered and the petitioner has been kept in the serial No.97 of the seniority list for appointment on compassionate grounds. Since the petitioner is struggling financially without employment since 2019, made another representation dated 10.08.2021, seeking to provide her with appointment on compassionate ground. Since the same was not considered by the respondents, the present writ petition came to be filed.
4. Heard, the learned Counsels on either sides. Carefully perused the materials available on record.
5. Considering the limited scope of relief sought for by the petitioner herein, this Court hereby direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2021 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with 3/5
law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
