ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application, dated 21.03.2022, seeking for granting education loan for studying B.Sc., Nursing Course, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.R.Venkateswaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Dilipkumar, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

3.The petitioner seeks for education loan for pursuing B.Sc., Nursing Course. The petitioner has submitted an application on 21.03.2022 to the respondent. The petitioner has claimed that he is eligible to get the education loan. The petitioner has filed the Mark sheets and other certificates along with this writ petition. It is for the respondent to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law and decide as to whether the petitioner is eligible to get an education loan or not.

4.No prejudice will be caused to the respondent, if the petitioner's application seeking for education loan is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner.

W.P.(MD)No.6469 of 2022 5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's application, dated 21.03.2022, seeking for education loan for studying B.Sc., Nursing Course and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording a fair hearing to the petitioner, including granting him the right of personal hearing, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the aforesaid directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
