Mr.B.Ramanathan, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents.

2. With the consent of both sides, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

4. The petitioner, while he was working as Gangman in the respondent - Electricity Board, was subjected to disciplinary proceedings resulting in termination of his services through proceedings bearing Me.Ku.No.Se.Po/E.Ka/Ki/U.Ni.A/Nir/U.1/Ko.Kattu/No.384/2025, dated 29.11.2025, issued by the second respondent. Aggrieved by the said order of termination, the petitioner is claimed to have filed an appeal before the second respondent as early as on 15.12.2025. But, the second respondent has not taken any steps on the said appeal. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court complaining inaction on the part of the respondents on his appeal and seeks appropriate orders for disposal of the said appeal at the earliest.

5. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent - Electricity Board fairly submits that the second respondent would dispose of the said appeal as expeditiously as possible.

6. In the light of the above, without going into the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 15.12.2025 submitted by the petitioner against the proceedings bearing Me.Ku.No.Se.Po/E.Ka/Ki/U.Ni.A/Nir/U.

1/Ko.Kattu/No.384/2025, dated 29.11.2025, issued by the second respondent and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 17.03.2026 NCC :
