ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed praying to direct the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Madurai District, the 2nd respondent herein, to expedite the investigation in Crime No.1 of 2016, pending on his file and to file the final report within the stipulated period.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that though an FIR was registered against the two accused in this case on 18.03.2016, for the offence under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC., in Crime No.1 of 2016, by the 2nd respondent herein, there is no progress in the investigation in this case. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents would submit that an FIR was registered in Crime No.1 of 2016 against the accused in respect of job rocketing and both the accused are still absconding and the respondents are taking steps to secure both the accused.

4. The Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the submissions made on either side, this Court directs the 2nd respondent, to expedite the investigation in Crime No. 1 of 2016 and to file the final report before the jurisdictional Court, as expeditiously as possible.

6. The Criminal Original Petition is ordered accordingly.
