Respondents Prayer :- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to initiate eviction proceedings u/s 78 and 79 of Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowment Act, 1959 and conclude the same by the first respondent by handing over the possession to the petitioner Mutt within a time frame fixed by this Court.

It is submitted by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents that the 2nd respondent has already initiated proceedings in e.f.vz;.10945/2022/m8, dated 17.03.2023.

2. Considering the fact that proceedings have already been initiated on 17.03.2023, no further orders are required in this writ petition and the same is closed. However, direction is issued to the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
