... Respondent Prayer : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the Learned Judicial Magistrate, Srivaikundam to expedite the trial of C.C.No.65 of 2020 and conclude the same within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This petition is filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Srivaikundam to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a time stipulated by this Court.

2.According to the learned public prosecutor, the charges were framed only on 31.12.2020 and out of 10 witnesses, four witnesses were examined on 19.02.2021 and seeks for appropriate orders in these circumstances.

3. There shall be a direction to the trial Court to expedite the trial and conclude the same within 5 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, since the offences alleged are only 294(b), 352 of I.P.C., and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act.

4. With these directions, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
