O R D E R

The petitioner had submitted an application to the first respondent seeking issuance of a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to establish a petroleum outlet in Survey Nos. 416/5A1 and 416/5A2, both situated at Mangalakudi Village, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the first respondent had issued an enquiry notice dated 11.12.2025, no effective steps have been taken to dispose of the application submitted by the petitioner.

3. Mr. S.S. Madhavan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the petitioner's application has not been disposed of on account of multiple cases filed before this Court by the neighbouring 2/5

land owners and that the delay in considering the application cannot be attributed to the first respondent.

4. Be that as it may, the first respondent, having issued the enquiry notice, is under an obligation to dispose of the application.

5. Therefore, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided there is no order of restraint passed by the jurisdictional Court. No costs.
