ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to survey the petitioner's land situated at Virudhunagar District, Virudhunagar Taluk, Periyaperali Revenue Village, House site of Chinnaperali in Survey No.854/1 measuring 155 square meters with help of the third Respondent police and to demarcate the same by laying stones, by considering the application dated 22.01.2026, within a time as this Court may be framed.

2. The petitioner is having patta in his name for an extent of three cents and 83 square feet. Even though survey was conducted and survey stones were laid, the fourth respondent removed the survey stones. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition seeking re-survey and re-installation of survey stones.

3. The first respondent is directed to survey the said property with the 2/5

assistance of the second respondent. If the first respondent requires any police protection, the third respondent shall provide the same. It is made clear that if there is any pathway, the same shall be earmarked and maintained as a pathway. The said exercised shall be completed within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent is directed to adhere to the following Standard Operating Procedures: a. The official respondent shall issue notice to the petitioner immediately reaching the spot where survey is to be conducted. The petitioner shall affix the signature by receiving the notice of survey.

b. After survey again the petitioner shall affix signature indicating that the survey was conducted to their satisfaction.

c. If the petitioner is not satisfied, then also the petitioner shall affix signature indicating their dissatisfaction or with protest. The petitioner shall indicate that reason of their dissatisfaction or protest. The aforesaid procedure shall be strictly followed by the parties.

4. Removing survey stones is an offence. The respondent shall conduct enquiry. If the alleged offence is true, appropriate action may be initiated against 3/5

the fourth respondent.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
