Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the third respondent herein to extend the lease period in respect of Shop No.2 in the ground floor and Shop No.2 in the first floor situated at Shopping Complex, Solapuram, Town Panchayat, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District in the light of the G.O Ms.No.92, Department of Municipal Administration and Water Resources Department, dated 03.07.2007 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 30.03.2022.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the third respondent to extend the lease period in respect of Shop No.2 in the ground floor and Shop No.2 in the first floor situated at Shopping Complex, Solapuram, Town Panchayat, Kumbakonam Taluk, Thanjavur District based on the petitioner's representation dated 30.03.2022.

2. Heard Mr.B.Jameel Arasu, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.M.Lingadurai, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the first and second respondents and Mr.M.Sarangan, learned Standing Counsel, who accepts notice on behalf of the third respondent.

3. Mr.M.Sarangan, learned Standing Counsel for the third respondent, on instructions, would submit that the representation, referred to supra, has already been considered and rejected by the third respondent by an order dated 05.04.2022. The said order dated 05.04.2022 is also placed on record before this Court.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty of this Court to challenge the same in the manner known to the petitioner under law. The said statement is recorded.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order dated 05.04.2022 passed by the third respondent in the manner known to the petitioner under law. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition stands closed.
