ORDER

The petitioner claims to be an agriculturist and according to him, he is entitled to get subsidy for irrigation purpose and he already made an application to the District Backward and Minority Welfare Officer, Theni/third respondent herein, who in turn, by the proceedings in Na.Ka.No.48982/10/j5 dated 17.08.2010, sent a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

recommendation to the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Backward Economic Development Corporation, Chennai to grant subsidy to the tune of Rs.50,000/- to the petitioner. Despite the recommendation made by the third respondent, no order has been passed so far by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court by filing the present writ petition.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent and the learned Standing Counsel for the second respondent and perused the records carefully.

3.From a perusal of the records, it could be seen that the the District Backward and Minority Welfare Officer, Theni has sent a recommendation to the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Backward Economic Development Corporation, Chennai to grant subsidy to the petitioner, which is pending before him. In the above circumstances, this Court directs the Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Backward Economic Development Corporation, Chennai/fourth respondent herein to consider the recommendation sent by the third respondent and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
