When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the first respondent contended that the following cases were registered against the present petitioner: Sl.

No Cases registered in Madurai City Madurai City, CCB, Cr.No.49/2019, u/s.406,420, 120(B) & 506(ii) IPC Madurai Avaniyapuram PS, Cr.No.218/2020 u/s 420 IPC Madurai City, CCB, Cr.No.12/2021 u/s 420 and 506(i) IPC Madurai CCB, Cr.No.56/2020, u/s 420 IPC

2. It is his further contention that the present petition is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.12 of 2021 on the file of the Inspector of Police, City Crime Branch, Madurai City, for the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 506(i) IPC. He also contended that the petitioner indulged in collecting deposits from various persons and did not repay the amounts to them. Therefore, all the cases were transferred to Economic Offence Wing, Thiruchirapalli.
