ORDER
This writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking a direction that an appeal pending before the respondent / The District Revenue Officer, Dindigul, may be disposed of within a reasonable period of time. 1/4
2. Instructions were obtained by the learned Additional government Pleader that the appeal is still pending. The appeal had been preferred on 12.07.2022. Since the appeal is now pending for consideration of the respondent, it would be inappropriate on the part of this Court to examine the merits of the case. That is the privilege of the respondent / District Revenue Officer who has to apply his mind on the facts of the case and pass considered order in the appeal.
3. The District Revenue Officer may pass such orders after following due procedures and in accordance with the principles of natural justice, after giving opportunity to all parties concerned on or before 30.06.2023.
