PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, to direct the learned Principal District Munsif-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Thirupathur, Sivagangai District, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.1/2026, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The present petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Principal District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Sivagangai District, to expedite the trial in C.C.No.1 of 2026.

2. According to the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, a complaint was initially lodged in the year 2023 and they have closed it as mistake of fact. Based upon the protest petition filed by the petitioner, it has been taken on file and the charge sheet has been laid in C.C.No.1 of 2026. According to him, the case is posted on 19.05.2026 for furnishing copies.

3. The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of the case.

4. Considering the fact that the complaint was initially lodged in the year 2023, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal District Munsif-cumJudicial Magistrate, Thirupathur, Sivagangai, to dispose of the criminal case on or before 31.08.2026.

5. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
