This petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to make initial proceeding under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (RFCTLARR Act, 2013) to acquire the property admeasuring 0.14.50 Hec at Survey No 74/6A and 0.9.00 Hec at Survey No 75/3A comprised in Patta No 61 of Neikkarapatti 2/7

Village, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District belonged to this petitioner and pay compensation based on the representation of the petitioner dated 17.12.2025 within a stipulated period.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the property, measuring 0.14.50 hectares in Survey No. 74/6A and 0.9.00 hectares in Survey No. 75/3A, is comprised in Patta No. 61 of Neikkarapatti Village, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District. The land is a patta land; however, without acquiring it, the respondents have laid a road for public use. Therefore, the petitioner seeks payment of fair compensation.

The learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the Tahsildar, Palani, had issued proceedings in Na.Ka.No.2670/2021/Aa1 dated 09.03.2026, stating that, based on the petitioner's application, acquisition proceedings would be initiated by the Government. 4. Considering the above facts, this Court directs the first respondent to commence acquisition proceedings and award compensation to the petitioner in accordance with the Fair Compensation Act. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
