ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 1 to 2 to conclude an enquiry and take appropriate action against the respondents 3 to 4, based on the petitioner's complaint dated 30.06.2025.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is a practising advocate, who has been criminally intimidated by the 3rd and 4th respondents on 29.06.2025 at about 3:30 p.m., for which he had lodged a complaint on 30.06.2025. However, the respondent police had not responded to the said complaint and hence, it is necessary to direct the 1st and 2nd respondents to conclude the enquiry.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police submitted that, upon receipt of the complaint given by the petitioner, CSR No.511 of 2025 dated 06.07.2025 was issued. Thereafter, the petitioner did not cooperate with the enquiry even on a single occasion.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and carefully perused the materials placed before this Court. Since no adverse order is proposed to be passed against the private respondents herein, notice to them is dispensed with. 2/4

Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, the respondent police are directed to issue summons to the petitioner and the private respondents under Section 64 of BNSS, 2023 and to require them to appear for enquiry and conclude the same within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the summons, the petitioner is directed to cooperate with the enquiry.
