ORDER

The prayer in this Writ Petition is to direct the respondents 1 to 5 to unlock the CSI St. John's the Baptist Church - Karupamanai Aadhanur Church by implementing orders of the second respondent in Pa.Ve/03/2021/A3, dated 21.12.2021 by enabling the people for the congregation for attending the Lenten Season and to provide adequate police protection by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 12.03.2022.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 5.

3. Since the private respondents could not be served, this Court decline to pass any positive direction in favour of the petitioner. However, in the considered opinion of this Court, a holy Church should not remain closed on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Waster ie., on 14.04.2022, 15.04.2022 and 17.04.2022. Due to certain disputes that arose between the parties, the petition mentioned church is now under lock and seal. It is made clear that the purpose of the meeting is only to enable for attending the prayers of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Waster ie., on 14.04.2022, 15.04.2022 and 17.04.2022 in the petition-mentioned Church.

4. The writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition stands closed.
