Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to take necessary action to remove the wrong entries in respect of petitioner's property comprised in S.No.110 of Korkai Village, Eral Taluk, Thoothukudi District vide document No.201/1995 and issue fresh patta in petitioner's name on the basis of his representation dated 21.01.2021.

This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to act on the representation made by the petitioner on 21.01.2021, wherein the petitioner has sought for removal of the names of one Shanmuganathan Nadar and Lakshmi Eswaran from the revenue records.
2.The case of the petitioner is that he purchased the subject property by virtue of a registered sale deed, dated 10.03.1995. The petitioner found that the patta with respect to the subject property stood in the name of two unknown persons, namely, Shanmuganathan Nadar and Lakshmi Eswaran. The petitioner, therefore, made a representation to the respondents to remove their names and to include the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court, seeking for appropriate directions. 3.Heard Mr.S.Mandhiralingeswaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Mahendran, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

W.P.(MD) No.7893 of 2021 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 21.01.2021, after affording opportunity to the petitioner and the above said Shanmuganathan Nadar and Lakshmi Eswaran and shall pass orders strictly in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the first respondent along with all relevant documents and a copy of this order.
6.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
