This Criminal Revision Case has been filed with the following prayer:

"to call for the records relating to the impugned order, dated 01.10.2024 made in Cr.M.P.No.2709 of 2024 in S.C.No.190 of 2023 on the file of learned Principal Sessions Judge, Ramanathapuram and to set aside the same."

2.The Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, vide order, dated 28.04.2025, had disposed of the above Criminal Revision Case with the following directions:

"8. Considering the above facts and circumstances and also taking note of the fact that trial is yet to be commenced despite the specific direction of this Court, the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ramanathapuram is hereby directed to proceed with the trial in S.C.No. 190 of 2023 and dispose of the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

9.With the above directions, this Criminal Revision Case stands disposed of. No costs."

3.Today, the Criminal Revision Case is listed under the caption "Extension of time for lower Court".

4.From the perusal of the records, it is transpired that the Coordinate Bench of this Court, vide order, dated 28.04.2025, had directed the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ramanathapuram, to complete the trial in S.C.No.190 of 2023 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. However, the trial Court did not complete the trial within the time granted by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court.

5.Now, the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ramanathapuram, vide letter D.No.4536/2025, dated 28.08.2025, seeks extension of time to complete the trial and to dispose of the case in S.C.No.190 of 2023.

6.Accordingly, considering the request made by the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ramanathapuram, this Court, as a last opportunity, grants three months further time from the date of receipt of a copy of this order to complete the trial in S.C.No.190 of 2023 without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties, unless there is any cogent reason or stay by any higher Court and also 3/5

proceed the matter on a day-to-day hearing basis. 7.The Registry is directed to communicate this order to the learned Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ramanathapuram, within a period of one week from today without fail for necessary information and communication.
