Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to expedite the enquiry on petitioner's petition dated 21.07.2011 and pass orders within the time to be stipulated by this Court.

The petitioner is said to have filed an application before the respondent regarding transfer of patta in favour of one Uma and Duraipandi on 21.07.2011. Since the above application has not been disposed of by the respondent, the petitioner came up with the present Writ Petition.

2.Considering the fact that the application of the petitioner is pending for more than six years, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner after giving opportunity to all the rival parties and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.With the above direction this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
