O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 20.03.2021 wherein the petitioner has sought for free electricity supply for agricultural purposes under the 'Fast Track Power Supply Free Electricity Connection Scheme'.

2. When the matter came up for admission on 17.04.2021, this Court directed the learned standing counsel appearing on behalf of respondents 1, 2, 4 and 5 to take instructions and report before this Court. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, based on written instructions, it was informed to this Court that the petitioner is placed under Sl.No.4 and he has to wait for his quota till the supply is provided for the other three persons above the petitioner. The learned counsel further submitted that the application filed by the petitioner was also processed.

3. Heard Mr.P.Saravanakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.Rajeswari, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr.S.M.S.Johnny Basha, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents 1, 2, 4 and 5.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also recording the submissions of the learned standing counsel, there shall be a direction to the respondents to complete the process of providing free electricity connection under the 'Fast Track Power Supply Free Electricity Connection Scheme' for agricultural purposes to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible.
