The petition is filed seeking direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 07.09.2016 and to give adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family for their life and limb. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the case has been registered against the accused in Cr.No.150 of 2016, dated 18.09.2016, for the offences under Sections 147, 379, 506(i) of IPC r/w 3(1) of TNPPDL Act. He further submitted that the respondent police would give police protection only to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.09.2016 on merits and in accordance with law and to give police protection only to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members. 5.With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
