ORDER

Seeking to remove the name of the petitioner from the rowdy list maintained by the second respondent, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition.

2. The facts of the case in this Writ Petition is that the respondents without any basis, are maintaining a rowdy list against the petitioner. According to him, even though four criminal cases were registered against the petitioner, two of the cases were ended in acquittal and the remaining two cases are pending before the concerned Court. It is the specific case of the petitioner that all those criminal cases came to be lodged, at the instigation of a third party, over a dispute of temple property. In this regard, he has sent detailed representations on 15.06.2012 and 15.07.2013. Since no steps have been taken by the respondents and his personal liberty is involved under Article 14 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ Petition for the relief stated earlier.

3. The learned Government Advocate would submit that the first respondent may be directed to consider the representation of the petitioner.

4. In view of the fact that there is no case as against the petitioner after 2010, the first respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 15.06.2012 and 15.07.2013 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
