Mr.S.Shaji Bino, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents. With the consent of the learned counsel on both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission.

2. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 24.11.2025 for disbursing the sum of Rs.1,15,810/-, which was recovered from the petitioner and to sanction revised pension by restoring the two increments sanctioned for the award of Special Grade.

3. The petitioner herein, on an earlier occasion, approached this Court by filing W.P.(MD) No.9567 of 2018 when certain amounts were sought to be recovered from the salary of the petitioner. In the said Writ Petition, an interim stay was granted staying the recovery of the said amounts. However, during the pendency of the said Writ Petition, the petitioner retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation. While disbursing the terminal benefits of the petitioner, an amount of Page No. 2 of 5

Rs.1,15,810/- was deducted, which was the subject matter of the said W.P. (MD) No.9567 of 2018. Subsequently, the said Writ Petition came to be allowed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court by order dated 31.10.2025.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite this Court having passed an order, the respondents have not released the amount that was recovered from his terminal benefits to the tune of Rs.1,15,810/-. Hence, the petitioner claims to have submitted a representation dated 24.11.2025 requesting refund of the said amount. Since the said representation has not been considered, the petitioner has approached this Court by filing the present Writ Petition.

5. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submits that the first respondent would consider the representation dated 24.11.2025 submitted by the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and pass appropriate orders thereon.

6. In the light of the above submission, without going into the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent herein to consider the representation dated 24.11.2025 Page No. 3 of 5

and pass appropriate orders thereon and communicate the same to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of eight

(8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. 04.03.2026 JEN NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No To 1.The District Registrar (Administration), O/o.The District Registrar, Katcheri Road, Virudhunagar.
