Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to expedite the enquiry pending before him in Na.Ka.No.1390886/2023/d1 for cancellation of patta in respect of the property situated in S.No.32/1 and DKT Patta No.512/69 at kodaikanal Village, Kodaikanal Town, Dindigul District and dispose the same within a stipulated time as prescribed by this Court.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to

direct the 1st respondent to expedite the enquiry pending before him in Na.Ka.No. 1390886/2023/d1 for cancellation of patta in respect of the property situated in S.No. 32/1 and DKT Patta No.512/69 at Kodaikanal Village, Kodaikanal Town, Dindigul District and dispose the same within a stipulated time as prescribed by this Court. 2.The petitioner was in possession of DKT Patta No.512/69 in Kodaikanal Village and the same was cancelled by the RDO and issued in the name of the 4th respondent. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has preferred an appeal to the first respondent as early as 2023. They said enquiry is pending in Na.Ka.No. 1390886/2023/D1. The petitioner has received a summons as early as 07.07.2025 even then, the appeal was not concluded. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3.Therefore, the first respondent is directed to conclude the appeal and pass orders after giving proper opportunity to the parties in accordance to law. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
