ORDER

It is an application seeking a direction to the respondent to register the complaint based upon the petitioner's complaint dated 31.08.2016.

2.The grievance of the petitioner is that the proposed accused namely, Nallathambi had received a sum of Rs.7,50,000/- from the petitioner promising to get a Government job for the petitioner's son-in-law. However, he did not make arrangement for the job, nor returned the amount. Hence a criminal case was registered by the respondent police, in Crime No.225 of 2015 for the offence under Section 420 of I.P.C. Subsequently, the said Nallathambi contacted the petitioner over cell phone and threatened him with dire consequences and he also abused him in filthy language. So the petitioner lodged another complaint on 31.08.2016 before the respondent police, but the same was not taken. Hence this petition.

3.It is represented by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) that the complaint of the petitioner dated 31.08.2016 has forwarded to Kallidaikurichi Police Station on jurisdictional point and if there is any direction is given, the respondent police is ready to investigate the same.

4.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondent and perused the records.

5. From the records, it is seen that a criminal case in Crime No.225 of 2015 was already registered against the proposed accused Nallathambi and in pursuance to the registration of the case, the petitioner is alleged to have been threatened by the proposed accused.

6. In the above circumstances, the respondent police is directed to register a case on the complaint of the petitioner dated 31.08.2016 and investigate the same in accordance with law and file the final report as expeditiously as possible.

7. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
