ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking quashment of the First Information Report in Crime No.449 of 2014, dated 11.06.2014, on the file of the Inspector of Police, Thoothukudi South Police Station, Thoothukudi, Thoothukudi District as against the petitioner herein.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he is alleged to have driven the two wheeler in a rash and negligent manner and had hit the deceased. Hence, a case in Crime No.449 of 2014 has been registered for the offence under Sections 279, 337 of I.P.C., @ Section 304-A of I.P.C. Seeking quashment of the aforesaid case, this petition has been filed by the petitioner. 3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, even 1/3

after lapse of several years from the date of alleged occurrence, the investigation has not been completed.

4.According to the learned Government Advocate (crl.side), the investigation is concluded and the draft charge sheet is also made ready and the same is to be filed before the concerned Court within a short time.

5.In view of the above, there shall be a direction to the first respondent herein to file the final report before the concerned Court within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
