This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report in Crime No. 345 of 2024 on the file of the respondent.
2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the defacto complainant in this case and based on his complaint, a case in Cr.No.345 of 2024 has been registered. However, without conducting proper investigation the case is still pending with the respondent. Hence, this petition.
3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police has registered an FIR in Crime No. 345 of 2024 for the offence punishable under Sections 318, 319, 335(A)(i), 340(i) of BNS Act. Since the case involves documents, the respondent police needs to conduct an elaborate investigation. Therefore, he seeks two months time to complete the investigation and to file a final report before the concerned jurisdictional Court. 2/4
4.Considering the prayer of the petitioner and recording the submission of the respondent police, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
