The petitioner's representation, dated 08.05.2018, seeking direction to the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioner and his members to worship Arulmigu Sudalaimadan Thiruvkovil on 17.05.2018 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2018, Sangaran Pudur, Kanniyakumari district, has been kept pending without disposal, which prompted the petitioner to file the present Criminal Original Petition. 2.It is needless to point out that whenever any representation / application is made to the statutory authorities, the respondents are bound to dispose of the same in one way or other, rather than keeping it pending indefinitely.

3.In view of the limited prayer sought for and without going into the merits of the petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2018, there shall be an direction to the first and second respondent to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

consider the petitioner's representation on its own merits and pass appropriate orders as expeditious as possible. Such an exercise shall be done after giving due opportunity to the petitioner as well as to the third respondent and to any other person who may be interested in the subject matter.
