O R D E R
By an order dated 14.03.2025, I rejected the contention of Mr.T.Veerakumar that the petitioner is entitled for quashing of the impugned order. Taking into consideration the order of the Division Bench in W.A(MD).No.1393 of 2011, dated 28.09.2022 and Rev.Aplc. (MD).No.50 of 2024, dated 04.07.2024, I directed the writ petitioner to tender a demand draft for the principal amount together with interest at the rate of 16% per annum from 31.01.2007 to 29.11.2024. I posted the matter for compliance on 01.04.2025.
2. Mr.Veerakumar filed a memo of compliance stating that he had paid a sum of Rs.17,81,908/- by way of two demand drafts in compliance with the orders of this Court. This was stoutly resisted by Mr.G.Suriyananth, learned Additional Government Pleader, who 2/5
pointed out that a balance of Rs.29,185/- is yet to be paid. The matter was posted today to enable Mr.Veerakumar to go through the memo of calculation filed by the learned Additional Government Pleader and to take further steps, if necessary.
3. When the matter was taken up today, Mr.Veerakumar has produced a demand draft drawn of 'Equitas Small Finance Bank' in "DD.No.001317", dated 02.04.2025 for a sum of Rs.29,185/- (Rupees Twenty Nine Thousand One Hundred and Eighty Five only). The demand draft has been drawn in favour of the Secretary, Madurai Market Committee, Madurai. He had tendered the demand draft to Mr.G.Suriyananth, who had received the same.
4. As the amount demanded by the respondents has been paid, the impugned notice dated 25.02.2025 in No.A2/3063/2011 issued by the second respondent shall stand set aside. There shall be a direction to the Secretary, Madurai Market Committee, Madurai, to execute the necessary document in favour of the writ petitioner on or before 25.04.2025.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is allowed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are dismissed.
