The petitioner, apprehending that the respondents are likely to lay a road on his patta land, is before this Court seeking the above relief.

2. The petitioner claims to be the owner of the lands in Survey Nos. 439/2 and 439/3 situated at Keezha Neelithanallur Village, Sankarankovil Taluk, Tenkasi District. The petitioner further claims that the respondents, without following due process of law, are attempting to lay a road on his patta land and that the same is violative of Article 300A of the Constitution of India. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 27.02.2026 calling upon the third respondent not to lay a road on his patta land.

3. Mr. S. Kameswaran, learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 27.02.2026 will be considered by the third respondent, subject to the petitioner furnishing the title deeds relating to the said lands.

4. The said submission is taken on record. In view of the same, the Writ Petition stands disposed of permitting the petitioner to produce the title deeds relating to the subject lands before the third respondent. Upon production of the same, the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of production of the title deeds by the petitioner. It is made clear that the respondents shall not take any steps to lay a road on the subject lands without following due process of law. No costs.
