Seeking to quash the final report filed by the police before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Tirunelveli in C.C.No.320 of 2017, the present Criminal Original Petition is filed.

2. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the first respondent police would contend that C.C.No.320 of 2017 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.I, Tirunelveli, ended in acquittal on 09.06.2023 and therefore, nothing survives for further adjudication in this Criminal Original Petition.
