Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to issue joint patta in Survey No.2 of Ramankulam Village, Madurai South Taluk, Madurai to the petitioner and his sisters as per the proceedings of the 2nd respondent in R.T.R.No.983/01-02/A3 dated 25.02.2010 and proceedings of the 2nd respondent in Na.Ka.No.9114/12/A1 dated 18.07.2012 and based upon the petitioner's representation dated 05.02.2021. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to issue joint patta to the petitioner and his sisters in line with the proceedings of the second respondent dated 25.02.2010 and 18.07.2012.

2. Heard Mr.K.K.Kannan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Mahendran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

It is seen from the records that the second respondent has already passed an order through proceedings dated 25.02.2010, directing the issuance of patta and through the proceedings dated 18.07.2012, the second respondent has given a further direction for issuance of joint patta in the name of the petitioner and his https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.7965 of 2021 sisters. The grievance of the petitioner is that this order has not translated itself into issuing the joint patta till date. Hence, a representation was made on 05.02.2021, and the same did not evoke any response. Aggrieved over the same, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 05.02.2021, in line with the earlier proceedings dated 25.02.2010 and 18.07.2012 and issue the joint patta, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the second respondent along with all the relevant documents and also copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
