ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to issue work order to the petitioner and also to settle the bill amount by considering the representations of the petitioner dated 05.03.2014 and 11.03.2014.

2.According to the petitioner, he is a registered contractor and got contract work from the respondent Municipality to maintain street lights in and around five places mentioned in the petition. After completion of contract, the respondent did not pay a sum of Rs.5,30,000/- for the previous work done by the petitioner. Hence, he made representations dated 05.03.2014 and 11.03.2014 to the respondent to pay the amount due. So far, no order has been passed. Hence, he filed this writ petition.

3.Considering the fact that the representations of the petitioner are pending from the year 2014, the respondent is directed to consider the representation dated 11.03.2014 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
