ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Section 409 IPC, in Crime No.6 of 2018, and seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has repaid the entire amount alleged to have been misappropriated.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that when the petitioner was working as Branch Postal Officer at Vannakundu Branch, misappropriated a sum of Rs.1,32,312.45 and he repaid a sum of Rs.88,323.45 and failed to repay the remaining amount.

4.Taking note of the above facts and circumstances, this Court is inclined to grant the relief of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5.Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance before the learned Magistrate concerned within a period of 10 days from the date of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

receipt of a copy of this order, on executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ramanathapuram, Ramanathapuram District, or to the satisfaction of the respondent police or the police officer who intends to arrest and on further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. for two weeks and thereafter, as and when required for interrogation. sd/- 16/05/2018 / TRUE COPY / Sub-Assistant Registrar (C.S.)
