ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- Heard both sides.

2.The petitioner was arrested and remanded to custody on 11.04.2017 for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 8[c] r/w.20(b)(ii)(C) of NDPS Act in Crime No.23 of 2014 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.

3.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in possession of 24 kgs of ganja and hence, the case has been registered.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and a false case has been foisted against him.

5.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the petitioner was found in possession of 24 kgs of ganja and he opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also taking note of the period of incarceration of the petitioner, I am of the view that the petitioner could be enlarged on bail. Accordingly, it is ordered that the petitioner shall be released on bail, on executing a separate bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Ten Thousand only) with two sureties each for a likesum to the satisfaction of the learned Principal Special Judge for EC and NDPS Act cases, Madurai and on further condition that the petitioner shall report before the respondent police daily at 10.30 a.m. until further orders.
