Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 3rd respondent to conduct survey and demarcate the boundary of the properties comprised in S.F.Nos.525/6B with an extent of 0.08-1/3 (3630 Sq.feet) situates in Mathukoor Village, Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2026 within a time that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 3rd respondent to conduct survey and demarcate the boundary of the

properties comprised in S.F.Nos.525/6B with an extent of 0.08-1/3 (3630 Sq.feet) situates in Mathukoor Village, Pattukottai Taluk, Thanjavur District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 24.02.2026 within a time that may be stipulated by this Court.

2.The petitioner submitted that the petitioner's vendor had purchased the property as early as 2012 and executed a sale deed in Doc.No.494 of 2013, dated 29.04.2013. Thereafter, the petitioner's vendor was in possession and enjoyment. Subsequently, the property was sold to the petitioner, vide document No.2470 of 2025, dated 01.12.2025. Thereafter, the petitioner was in possession and enjoyment of the property. The petitioner's vendors inherited the property through a partition deed. The petitioner submitted that there is no rival claim. Hence, the petitioner is seeking to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the property. 3.The respondents submitted that the petitioner has submitted an online application and the same is pending.

4.The respondents shall consider the petitioner's application after perusing all the documents and survey and demarcate the property. However, if any rival claimants are there, notice shall be issued to them. Thereafter, the 3rd respondent shall conduct survey and demarcate the properties. The official respondents shall adhere to the following Standard Operating Procedures:

• The official respondents shall issue notice to the petitioner immediately reaching the spot where survey is to be conducted. The petitioner shall affix the signature by receiving the notice of survey.

• After survey again the petitioner shall affix signature indicating that the survey was conducted to their satisfaction.

• If the petitioner is not satisfied, then also the petitioner shall affix signature indicating their dissatisfaction or with protest. The petitioner shall indicate that reason of their dissatisfaction or protest.

The aforesaid procedure shall be strictly followed by the parties. The said exercise shall be completed within a piece of for12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
