ORDER

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to provide appointment on compassionate grounds. 2.The petitioner states that his father Late Ashok Kumar was working as Village Assistant in the revenue department and died on 08.04.2017, while he was in service. The petitioner submitted an application to provide appointment on compassionate ground. The office of the Sub Collector in letter dated 20.01.2021 informed the petitioner that the application received from the petitioner was processed and appropriate steps are taken to scrutinize the application of the petitioner in accordance with the terms and conditions of the scheme of compassionate appointment. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that though the letter was issued in January 2021 till today no action has been taken.

4. This Court is of the considered opinion that many number of petitions seeking compassionate appointment are pending with the office of the respondent. The scheme of compassionate appointment is strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions by following the application seniority. Therefore, the case of the petitioner is also to be scrutinized and if the petitioner is otherwise eligible in accordance with the scheme, his name is to be kept in the list of eligible persons for considering appointment in accordance with the terms and conditions stipulated in the scheme itself.

5. With this observation, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
