Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 18 percent per annum, for the period of delay from 01-06-2018 to 21-09-2019, in paying the amounts paid towards the terminal and pension benefits of the petitioner namely EPF Employee's Contribution, Gratuity, Encashment of Earned/Sick Leaves and Commuted Value of pension, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Honourable Court and without affecting his right to claim balance amounts towards those benefits. ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act to punish the respondents for wilfully https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Cont.P.(MD)No.681 of 2021 disobeying the orders passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.1441 of 2020 dated 24.01.2020.

2.When this Contempt Petition is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing on either side would submit that the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD)No.1441 of 2020 dated 24.01.2020 has been complied with. The learned counsel for the petitioner has also made an endorsement in the petition, to that effect.

3.Recording the said submissions of the learned counsel on either side, the Contempt Petition stands closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the calculation arrived upon by the respondent before the appropriate forum, if he is so advised.
