Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to remove illegally water channel excavated in Paralaiyar Neerodai comprised in Survey Nos. 229 and 230 situated at Kothakulam Group, Surikkanenthal Village, Paramakudi Taluk, Ramanathapuram District on the basis of the representations dated 12.12.2024 and 20.01.2025 in accordance with law within a time stipulated by this Court. ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The allegation made by the petitioner that the water channel has been illegally excavated from Paralaiyaru Oodai is confirmed by the learned Special Government Pleader.

3. The third respondent undertakes before us that the original position will be restored and the illegally excavated channel will be closed. This shall be done as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the aforesaid direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
