O R D E R

When the matter came up for hearing today, the petitioner as well as the second respondent / de-facto complainant are personally present before this Court and identified themselves.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent.

3. During the pendency of the proceedings, at the intervention of the of the Mediators and the Jamath elders, an amicable settlement has been arrived at between the parties. An affidavit has been filed by the de-facto complainant. In the said affidavit, the defacto complainant/second respondent has stated that the dispute has been amicably settled and he has no objection to quash the case pending against the petitioner in C.C.No.31 of 2018 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, No.III, Tirunelveli.

4. In view of the same, the charge sheet in C.C.No.31 of 2018 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.III, Tirunelveli is quashed. It is made clear that the registration of the First Information Report and the specific framing of the charges shall not be quoted as a bar for his academic or future career. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
