Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider representation dated 30.01.2026 and grant premature release to Mr.S.Vijaya Kumar, S/o. Sagadevan @ Devadhasan, PID No.16913, CP No.3312, aged about 62 years, presently confined at Central Prison, Palayamkottai under G.O(Ms) No.488, dated 15.11.2021 or G.O.(Ms) No. 430, dated 11.08.2023, or Advisory Board proceedings under Rule 348 of the Tamil Nadu Prison Rules, 1993, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

[Order of the Court was made by N.ANAND VENKATESH, J.] The present Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 30.01.2026 and grant premature release to Mr. S. Vijaya Kumar, S/o. Sagadevan @ Devadhasan, PID No. 16913, CP No.3312, aged about 62 years, presently confined at Central Prison, Palayamkottai.
2. Heard Mr.C.Muthusaravanan, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Mr.A.Thiruvadikumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing for the respondents.
3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the representation seeking premature release has been rejected and the same has been communicated to the petitioner. The order of the fourth respondent in No.3312/Thaku1/2026, dated 05.03.2026, was also placed before this Court.
4. In view of the above, no further orders can be passed in this petition. If the petitioner is aggrieved, it is open to him to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above liberty. No costs.
