O R D E R

This Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent herein to rectify the wrong entry by inserting the name of Sri Puraviyayee Amman Thirukkovil in respect of the lands comprised in S.No.297/24 situated at Veeramanipatti village, Musiri taluk, Trichy district, on the basis of the petitioner representation dated 17.10.2022 within the time stipulated by this Court.

It is the case of the petitioner that his family deity namely Sri Purviyayee Amman Thirukkovil is situated in the property comprised in S.No.297/2024, at Veeramanipatti Village, which is existing since last more than 400 years. While so, when the petitioner verifying the revenue records in respect of the said survey number, the same is classified as a "lane" instead of "Sri Puraviyayee Amman Thirukkovil". Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 17.10.2022, seeking to rectify the wrong entry in the revenue records in respect of the land in S.No. 297/2024. Since the said representation was not considered till date, the petitioner has approached this Court.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent would submit that the representation of the petitioner dated 17.10.2022 would be considered in accordance with law.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the respondent to consider and pass order on the representation of the petitioner dated 17.10.2022 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
