ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, for a direction to the respondent police to secure the accused person in Crime No.109 of 2015.

2.Subsequent to the filing of this petition, the parties were directed to go and settle the matter before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre. In the mean time, the accused person died. Therefore, his grandson started to attend the proceedings before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre and a sum of Rs.3,50,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs and Fifty Thousand Only) was settled to the petitioner. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the entire amount has not been settled.

4.However, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the grandson of the accused person would submit that the entire amount has been settled to the petitioner.

5.In view of the death of the accused person, the proceeding itself has abated. If the parties have any grievance with regard to the settlement of amount, the same has to be worked out in independent proceedings and not in this petition. 6.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
