PRAYER : Writ Original Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to issue patta in name of the petitioner in respect of the property in Survey No. 168/2 measuring an extent of 1.27 acres comprised situated at Pandavarmangalam Village, Kovilpatti Taluk, Thoothukudi District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2018 and 05.05.2018 within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation on 05.05.2018 to issue patta in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.168/2 measuring to an extent of 1.27 acres situated at Pandavarmangalam Village, Kovilpatti Taluk, Thoothukudi District. Since no order has been passed on the aforesaid representation, the present writ petition has been filed.

2.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that the said representation is pending and the same shall be considered on merits and in accordance with law.

3.In view of the aforesaid submission made by the respective parties, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2018 on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
