O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondent / Manager, Indian Overseas Bank, Velipattinam, Ramanathapuram, to permit the petitioner to operate her savings Bank Account bearing Account No.072901000040764. The petitioner had given a representation on 21.12.2022.

2. The learned counsel had entered appearance on behalf of the respondent and stated that the respondent had received communication from Gujarat about registration of a FIR and the account of the petitioner had been specifically mentioned stating that in that account a sum of Rs.4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs only) had been transferred. These are issues which the petitioner has to get clarification only from the respondent and this Court cannot give any direction. 2/4

It is also stated by the learned counsel for the respondent that the respondent had issued a communication to the petitioner on 15.06.2022 itself, but the same was returned as 'No Such Address', even though the address mentioned in the said letter was the address as disclosed by the petitioner in the Know Your Customer form.

Let the petitioner go over to the respondent office in person and I am confident that the respondent would explain the details but the respondent can take a decision only according to the directions of the Investigating Officer, who had registered FIR in Gujarat. No further orders can be passed by this Court. It is for the petitioner to work out her remedy directly before the respondent Bank

5. With the above observation, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
